HR and payroll

HR and payroll
Salary structures, a run that can be checked before it is approved, and the statutory paperwork that follows it.
What it does
The work it actually takes off you.
Structures applied, not retyped
Salary components and structure templates are defined once and applied to staff, so a revision is a change to the template rather than forty edits.
A run with an approval in it
Create, process, then approve. The gap between processing and approving is where a wrong month gets caught.
Payslips staff can fetch themselves
Payslip PDFs, and a screen where a staff member downloads their own history without asking the accounts office.
The exports the bank and EPFO want
A payslip export, an EPF ECR file, and a bank transfer file — the three things a payroll month actually ends in.
Filing records kept together
EPF, ESI, and professional tax filings are recorded against the institution, so the evidence is in one place when it is asked for.
Attendance feeds it
Staff attendance, including the biometric feed, produces the loss-of-pay input rather than a separate register somebody reconciles by hand.
Who touches it
By role.
Payroll or accounts admin
Owns structures, runs payroll, produces the exports and filing records.
Principal or director
Approves the run before it is final.
Staff member
Sees and downloads their own payslips.
Straight answers
What it does not do.
Every ERP demo looks complete. These are the edges of this one, stated here rather than found in month three.
- Form 16 is not generated. The filing records exist to hold evidence, not to e-file on your behalf.
- School payroll is deliberately lighter — monthly compute, run, payslips, and leave approvals, without the ECR export.
- Company payroll, with the full PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and TDS engine and full-and-final settlement, is the separate business product.

A demo runs this module against your own structure — your programs, your grades, your formats — rather than a sample dataset.
